The Origins of the Choson Dynasty refutes that view, showing that a key feature of the dynastic transition was continuity in the structure and composition of the central ruling class and arguing that the main force behind the establishment of the Choson was the need to revamp institutions to protect aristocratic interests. Choson Dynasty I purchased this book as a gift for my husband. We both got interested in the history of Korea through watching a series on our local TV channel. My husband is engulfed in this book. Says it is written in way that really keeps your attention. I plan on researching other books by Duncan. | ||
